Exhibition Development

Developed as part of my Collections & Curatorial internship with the Guelph Civic Museum in 2018. I was tasked with researching and curating a case exhibit for the Royal City Families Gallery that highlighted the museum's extensive doll collection.

Keeping in mind the location of the case, the dolls I selected were in above average condition and many of them were iconic dolls that would be easily recognizable.

The intent of the exhibit was to foster a curiosity within the children visiting the museum as to whether their toys could one day be shown in a museum. Each toy or doll in the exhibit once belonged to a Guelph resident.

Conceptualized by the City of Ottawa Archives, Postcards From Ottawa, is an exhibit developed I assisted with the development of while I was a student at Algonquin College. Working in a team of four that included Ryan Milton, Claire Tauvette, and Daniel Fernandez, I contributed to the content research and overall scope of the exhibit. The panels (left) contain content that I researched and wrote and were designed by Ryan Milton.

The City of Ottawa Archives asked us to develop an exhibit that would be displayed in the Barbara Ann Scott Gallery at Ottawa City Hall. The exhibit was to showcase famous or significant people who have visited the City of Ottawa. The exhibit discusses visits from Samuel de Champlain in the 17th century to the Dutch Royal Family during the Second World War, and even US President Barack Obama and the introduction of the Obama Cookie in 2012.
