Research

Driven by previous research completed for the Juno Beach Centre Association and by an extended familial connection, I performed online research as well as oral history interviews to collect and compile a biography of Pte. Victor W. St. Louis. The information included in the biography was sourced from family memories, Library & Archives Canada, and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Victor St. Louis was a member of the North Shore New Brunswick Regiment when they stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6th, 1944. Victor survived the initial landing but was killed on July 22nd, 1944 just outside of Caen.
